Pastor Keith challenged us Sunday with Wooden Nickel Wisdom v/s Golden Nugget wisdom. What a great reminder to seek wisdom in the right places! We had a great Celebration Service Sunday night as we celebrating the baptism of Alex Byrd and Jake Conner. It's been great seeing you on the courts and fields during this sports season. It makes me very proud of you guys seeing you use your talents and abilities in sports. Sports are such a great tool to worship. If you haven't given me a fall sports schedule yet, I need one. The same applies for other extracurricular activities. Get a schedule to me! A continued congratulations goes out to the Guil-Rand league Red Strikers Soccer team. It's been great to see this team win games, but more excitedly to see this team win souls. Coach Henry Perry (also the East District Wesleyan Camp's co-camp caretaker) has had a vision to win souls through coaching this soccer team. It has been because of this team that several teens in and out of our youth group have found the Lord and ave grown a better understanding of Him. My hat goes off to Henry, Pat and Sherry Young, Darrel and Melisa Long, and the other adult volunteers that have been a part of this ministry. Keep adding to your 23-0 record on the field, but keep whooping Satan too! I start my official wrestling duties as an assistant coach this Monday as Mt Zion Wesleyan Church sponsors a wrestling clinic here on site. We are excited about this great community outreach opportunity! Children of the World will be with us tonight. We will still be having prayer time in the prayer room in the Old Sanctuary at 6:30. Pray for Adam Grey as he has an important Dr. appointment at 8:30 Friday morning. Chaz Brown's knee. Jenny Gillispie's ankle. Pray for our upcoming election. We need the right man in there to represent our country and our God. Kevin Farmer is a student at Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church. He was in our guys' cabin this week. He just broke his shoulder playing football. Pray for healing. Kevin Famer's brother Brian Farmer left for Kuwait last week and has been deployed to Iraq. Pray for his safety and his calling as he is feeling called to full time ministry. (He got to meet George W. Bush last week while boarding a plane in Maine) |

Atonement For every sin there must be consequences. God said “the wages of sin is death”; when a sacrifice was made in repentance for a sin, the death was an atonement, or answer, for the sin and a man’s relationship with God was made right again. |
