Where did the summer go? It came and it went. I'm sure this Fall will fly by as well.

We had a wonderful parent/sponsor meeting on Sunday. Click here to download the agenda from the Parent/Sponsor meeting we had after Sunday morning worship on August 8.

Speaking of parenting...do you know where your kids are. Make sure you don't do what you see in the picture by clicking here.

Anybody want a cat? I have 2 that need homes. Email me back if you want one. I'm taking them to the animal shelter tomorrow morning if nobody wants them.

We had a great time swimming at the Dyer's pool on Sunday night. Click here to check out our splash. (This file may take a while to download). We can't find it now, but when we do find it, you'll get to see the most incredible dive ever made by Jake Hepler on video!

Wanted to inform you of what is going on in Mt Zion Wesleyan Youth ministries.

Youth Service and Dyer’s Pool
We will be having a youth service in the Old Sanctuary on Sunday, August 15. We are expecting God to do big things at camp and this will be a great opportunity for us to share with the church what happened at camp. Wear your green camp shirt and make sure to bring a gift wrapped up to give to God as your offering and sacrifice. This can be something that you want to offer to God or something you want to give up. If CDs are standing in your way of growing closer to God, there’s no better place for them than a box wrapped up with a bow on top to give to God. Plan on visiting the Dyer’s pool after the service. Bring your swimsuit.

Puppet Practice
Puppet practice will resume on August 22nd. Join us at 4:30 PM at Bethany Hall to head over to Mayberry’s for ice cream. Make sure to bring enough money for a big double scoop of ice cream. If you are interested in puppets, let Faith Wilson know by emailing fwilson@bankofnc.com.

Sponsor Training
There will be a sponsor training day on Saturday, September 11 from 9 am-12 noon at the parsonage (Pastor Keith’s old house). Anyone who is interested in being a new sponsor or wants to continue being a sponsor must attend. Please contact me if you have a conflict. Click here to sign up.

The MaXX
John 10:10 (X:X) says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Our theme (not youth group name) for this next school year will be living life to “The MaXX.” The world has much to offer us in area of pleasure and immediate gratification, but this world can never offer us the freedom from sin we are able to have in Christ. Make sure to join us this school year as we study what it means to live life to “The MaXX.”

Swim Suit Policy
Girls, please be reminded that one piece swim suits and tankinis which both tops and bottoms meet are the only suits allowed during a youth event.

Baptism
Let Eddie know if you would like to be baptized or learn more about it.
