The Spirit of the Lord was with us at camp last week! Ask someone that was there what happened Thursday night. We were bombarded with the Spirit of God as a youth group. We cried, prayed, sang, and praised God together as broken people of the Lord. But before we left, he put us all back together again as a unified body. I can't wait to see what God does in our youth group when we all get back from camp! Click here to see pictures of camp.

There has been a lot going on this summer. Take advantage of it before school starts again. Martha Marie and I have totally enjoyed getting to know you guys this summer! We have seen the Lord bring this group together in unity. It's so great to see what is happening in our ministry! God's hand continues to sweep over our church as He is revealing His will to many of us. We have had more than 6 people get saved in our church (3 of those being in our youth ministry) in the past 4 weeks as well as several called to full time ministry. Let us continue to come to worship prepared and expecting God to do a work in our lives so we can continue to fellowship in the Lord together!

Congratulations to Radgie, Candi, Chaz, and Luke on the birth of Andrew Wade Causey, born on Sunday, July 18! 8lbs. Only 200 more pounds to go and he'll be ready to be a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers.

Teen Camp
The van will be leaving Bethany Hall at 2:30PM on July25 for Sr. High Camp. Make sure you are on time. Come expecting God to do great things!

Youth at District Camp
We will be having youth group at the district camp on July 28. Meet at Bethany Hall at 6:30 to catch the van to ride to camp for Youth.

Youth Tonight
We will be having a special night of worship with a guest speaker and guest band in the Old Sanctuary tonight at 7PM. Come prepared to worship! Bring your swim suit if you want to hang out at the Dyer’s pool tonight. Transportation is on your own.

Puppet Practice
Puppet practice will resume on August 22nd. If you are interested in puppets, let Faith Wilson know by emailing fwilson@bankofnc.com.

Inman Lake House
If you are not going to be at Sr. High Camp, meet at Bethany on Sunday, July 25 at 1:30PM to head to the Inman’s Lake House. The van will be back at 8:30PM. Please bring a drink and a bag of chips.

Parent and Sponsor Meeting
There will be a parent and sponsor on August 8 at the shelter. Please RSVP no later than July 23 by email or by phone. Click here to sign up.

Youth Service and Dyer’s Pool
We will be having a youth service in the Old Sanctuary on Sunday, August 15. We are expecting God to do big things at camp and this will be a great opportunity for us to share with the church what happened at camp. Make sure to bring a gift wrapped up to give to God as your offering and sacrifice. This can be something that you want to offer to God or something you want to give up. If CDs are standing in your way of growing closer to God, there’s no better place for them than a box wrapped up with a bow on top to give to God. Plan on visiting the Dyer’s pool after the service. Bring your swimsuit.

Join us next week at the District Camp Ground for Youth. Meet at Bethany Hall at 6:30PM to catch the van over to the camp. Don’t be late or you’ll be walking.

The MaXX
John 10:10 (X:X) says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Our theme for this next school year will be living life to “The MaXX.” The world has much to offer us in area of pleasure and immediate gratification, but this world can never offer us the freedom from sin we are able to have in Christ. Make sure to join us this school year as we study what it means to live life to “The MaXX.”
