Casper Farrow Wesleyan Men - WNY District Conference, Saturday, September 20th from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Main Campus, 8445 Greiner Rd in Clarence, NY. Rusty Baker As outgoing president of the Gumboro Wesleyan Men's group, it has been a honor and a priviledge to serve my brothers over the past three plus years. We have seen growth in our group with new members being added even as I write this letter. However I am passing the torch to a man as worthy and honorable as any one could ask for in leader Matt Woods, whose father is the treasurer, what a dynamic duo. Please join me in congradulating brother Matt as he leads the Gumboro Weleyan Men in helping to build God's kingdom. Brother Rusty Baker Events: On August 16,2003, the Gumboro Wesleyan Men's group will be attending a Saturday night out at the Delmarva Shorebirds Stadium for a night of fellowship, food, fun, fireworks and baseball. This is an effort to reach the unchurched and unsaved men in our community. Please keep us in your prayers that we will have a good turn out. name: Philip
Sleeseman For the past year or so we have been having a monthly breakfast and an occasional work project for the men. We have since established a men's committee in December and have set out to set a mission and vision statement. Our last breakfasts were increased in the quantity and the quality of the meals with the devotionals more geared to relationship building. Our projects have become more numerous and as a result, our fund has gone from just a breakfast fund to actually receiving donations from those either helped or those who see a vision of us using it to gretaer help others. Praise the Lord that as we pour from our cup, that the Lord continues to add and even increase in it! One main emphasis that we have is to minister to not only those who attend our local church, but to minister to those men in our community who attend elsewhere. Ideas: If anyone has any ideas or would be willing to share with us how you have been developing your group, please share them with us. We are continually seeking input as we slowly seek to build Godly men. Praise: Praise God for how He has been leading us to higher plains! name:
Rusty Baker EventsWell, we had to wait a while, but it finally came. On Jan. 26, 2003, three of our churches finest were honored with the Wesleyan Man of the Year award for their outstanding commitment to God, family, church, and family. Their efforts have seen our church blossum because of them. Donald Carrier, all around handy man, will drop everything to help his neighbor in need. Bobby Doorman, felt lead by the Lord to get involved in the bus ministry that goes out every Sunday morning to pick up children and bring them to church. Last but not least, Chanie Frame, who's efforts along with is wife Beverly are doing great and wonderful things with our teens. Please join me in congradulating these men of God and keep them in your prayers. name:
