When the General Department of Evangelism
& Church Growth commissioned a three painting water-color
print series by well-known Wesleyan artist Rod Crossman, he
excitedly accepted the assignment as a labor of love. The three
paintings in the series celebrate qualities of pastoral ministry
patterned after Christ’s own example. Mr. Crossman says,
"I was inspired to create a visual reminder to those on the
frontlines of the authority, power and responsibility a pastor
has in Jesus Christ."
Each picture is a matted, limited
edition print, signed and numbered by the artist. Each church is
encouraged to start a collection for their pastor’s office by
purchasing each of these prints - Serving with Compassion,
Speaking With Authority, and Leading With Courage. We are
now taking orders for the third print --Leading With Courage--
and it will be
available for delivery by July 2003. What
a beautiful, long-lasting means of showing your appreciation for
the person God has called and appointed to labor among you.
