About the Church Planter Assessment Center
For the establishment of new, self-sustaining, self-supporting, self-propagating Wesleyan churches

What is the Church Planter Assessment Center?

  • A component that exists to help districts of The Wesleyan Church identify and prepare potential leaders for new churches.
  • A four-day, intensive time of evaluation for potential church planters.
  • A time of affirmation and encouragement for potential church planters.
  • An opportunity for growth and increased self-awareness for potential church planters.

Everything rises or falls on leadership.

We know this is true, especially in the crucial area of church development. For that reason, The Wesleyan Church Planters Assessment Center, a new and critical element in The Wesleyan Church Church-Planting System, has been developed to assist in the establishment of new self-sustaining, self-supporting, self-propagating Wesleyan churches.

"The assessing process is an essential ingredient in preparing church planters for effective ministry. Our district requires every person, sensing God's leading to plant a church, to participate in the assessment center."

-- Stephen Babby, District Superintendent, Pacific Southwest District of The Wesleyan Church
